Facebook “Soy Mocha Please”

I’m working in my boutique feeling very tired from a late night of consulting work.  I decide I just need to put it out to the universe via cyberspace.

I Facebook on Wednesday:  “can someone please bring me a double soy mocha? i’m SO TIRED!”

Fast forward 4 days – Saturday.  I’m in the boutique working feeling tired from the night before.  No – not a late night of consulting but a late night at the local hang-out Nell Thorn

I usually start my morning with a good 15 minutes of Facebook.  It’s like reading the paper in the morning – a nice relaxing habit that makes me feel connected to the world.  I see I have a new friend request – Troy from the La Crema Coffee Roastery.  La Crema is kitty-corner to Childhood Bliss and a great neighbor.  Locals hang out there and I enjoy the energy, music, and laughter I hear floating across the street.

Moments after accepting Troy’s friend request,  Charity from La Crema Coffee Roastery delivers me a soy mocha.  I am confused at first as she says “here is the soy mocha you ordered”.  “I didn’t order a soy mocha.”  Click….click.  I DID order a soy mocha through the cyberspace on Wednesday.  Thank you Troy, Facebook and the natural order of the universe via social media!

The power of the soy mocha you ask?  I am now a facebook friend of Troy’s.  I have tasted his coffee and love it!  La Crema Coffee Roastery has a new customer.

More to come…
