How Do I Replicate a Search in a Different Location?
Since we have clients with customers all over the world, we need to audit keyword phrases in different locations. And I bet you would like to also see how your top keyword phrases are ranking in geo-targeted markets! In November, 2015 Google deleted the location search filter which wasn’t cool. However, there are easy workarounds.
1: Use Google AdPreview (you don’t have to be logged in to adwords)
3: Location Emulation in Google Chrome
FYI: Google’s line is that the location search filter wasn’t getting much use so they removed it. Hmmmm. What you can do is change the auto-detected search location to a more precise location they select for you. But this isn’t going to help you see how your keyword phrase is ranking in a different market than you happen to be hanging out at or where your IP address is.
Happy content marketing SEO and now you CAN replicate a search in a different location!
